This question aims to determine where you fall on the scale of being an extrovert versus an introvert, and likewise, whether you're more of a team collaborator or an innovator. Both bring value. There is no wrong or right answer.

Put self-evaluative thought into your answer rather than trying to hurry through it. Be honest. Don't choose one or the other unless that is truly the case, which, in most cases, it rarely is. Most people fall somewhere in the middle between these two extremes on the scale. The most important thing to strive for is exuding a sense of self-awareness, confidence, and an ability to be productive in any environment. Be sure to research the type of environment that is offered in this position prior to your interview. Discuss your ideal assignments with realistic expectations.

"I love all living things, great and small. I'm not one of those people who claims to be an animal lover, which is often code for being a misanthrope. I'm happy being alone with my pooch or happy working as part of a team, looking forward to all the kumbayas and high fives. So, I'd say I'm a dog person, a cat person, and a people person."

I am both. I would strongly say that I am an ambivert who has very little social anxiety. I love talking through my ideas and life with others, but it's necessary for me to have downtime with my roommate's three cats. It's a special connection to learn non-verbal communication with animals.

Jaymie's Feedback
