How to Answer: Do you have reliable transportation?
Advice and answer examples written specifically for a Burlington Coat Factory job interview.
5. Do you have reliable transportation?
How to Answer
In the United States, interviewers can't legally ask candidates if they own a vehicle. However, your interviewer will want to know if you can reliably get to work on time. Assure the interviewer that you have a reliable way to get to work. It may not be a bad idea to have a backup mode of transportation in mind to prove your determination to show up for your shift.

1st Answer Example
"I live within walking distance of the store, so it will be very easy to make it to work. I'm a stickler for punctuality, so I'll always arrive for my shifts 10-15 minutes early."

2nd Answer Example
"I take public transit and find it to be very reliable. I always plan for unexpected delays and take an earlier bus if I know it's a heavy-traffic day. I always make sure I'm at least 5-10 minutes early for my shift."
