In my current job, I will often be asked to open the jewelry case, make cash change and put cash in the safe downstairs within the span of five minutes. I have to make fast decisions about what needs to be done first and delegate quickly.

Dependent on the circumstance and the situation thinking fast is something I am very good at. I have hobbies that require me to think fast otherwise I could land up getting hurt very badly. I use the same methodology and principles when working to. I believe there always has to be the main plan and a back up plan for any and all situations.

22. Tell me a time when you had to handle something drastic, but no one was around, how did you do it?

Left alone to supervise the restaurant until more staff were due to arrive, when a man collapsed on the floor. Stopped what I was doing, and put the man in the recovery position and asked his partner if he had an allergies or illness. Rang for 999 and for my manager to come to work early, while I asked one of the customers to stop people from entering the premises and keep an eye out for the ambulance, while I tried to keep the wife calm and ensure the collapsed man still had a pulse.

24. Tell me about your cash handling experience.

I had cash handling experience working at Jcpenney. I have opened and closed the registers counting the amount of cash that is in the register. I check customers out and run credit cards and customers that pay with cash. I give the customer the correct amount of change back if necessary.

Working as a supervisor I was required to cash up the daily takings every evening after the restaurant closed. I would have to reconcile receipts and make sure the PDQ readings would match up with the receipts from the til. Had to count the money in the til before and after every shift, to ensure the cash float was always the same. Had the responsibility of being in charge of petty cash, and had to record any money going out to buy items for the business. General cash handling, when taking money from customers and giving them the correct change.

I used to work as a retail assistant which involves doing cashier operations. I have handled both cash and card transactions from there.

I was a part of cas operations there I was handling the same.

While working at myers I processed sales frequently using cash and cards. I have never had an issue with my cash handling and was frequently required to tally up the tills at the end of the day.
