Question 7 of 35

Tell me how you organize, plan, and prioritize your work. Do you use specific tools or techniques to assist you in the workplace?

"I am a big fan of to-do lists and Outlook. I review each morning, midday, and each night to understand what needs to be done, develop an order to complete the tasks, and devise a plan to address anything that is in jeopardy of not being done within the given time frame. I color-code my tasks by priority so they will visually jump out at me. In any task that I am given, I always note when it must be achieved and also make an assessment of the effort I think it may require. If I feel that the assessment means the effort far outweighs the deadline as being achievable, I will raise this immediately so that expectations can be set. For long-term assignments, I use reminders and block-off time on my schedule to make sure that I am working toward those items proactively."
