"Early in my career, a few colleagues were falsifying their time cards and extending hours they said they were working to get overtime pay. While it would have been easy to turn a blind eye to the situation, I knew it wasn't right and took away from the company's bottom line. I decided to approach two of my colleagues about it and asked them to approach our manager about their falsification. They knew in the way I approached it that if they didn't, I would. They both thanked me for approaching them and they did talk with the manager. It certainly was awkward for a while following that conversation, but they both kept their jobs and I knew what I did was the right thing to do."
