Question 35 of 40

Name three of your soft skills.

"I'd rate my communication skills rather highly. I actively listen, ask a lot of questions, and never assume. I am quite literal in my approach, and once I have a cursory understanding of what a person is explaining, I mirror it back to them in my own words, to be sure we're on the same page. I am as adept at non-defensive communication as one can be. I also pride myself on my leadership acumen when it comes to teamwork. I regularly mentor new hires. I think I've informally mentored and exhibited leadership since day one. Lastly, I'd say my time management skills are above par. I plan out and prepare for my whole week in advance. I pay it forward to myself, which paves the way for being able to pay it forward with the rest of my teams."

      What You Need to Know

Soft skills or interpersonal skills, such as time management, communication, emotional intelligence, and multitasking, are those skills that are more difficult to evaluate on paper. Try to frame your presentation of your three top skills in a way that would complement this role. Go deeper than just naming off three skills, but elaborate on how developed your skills are so they can get an accurate depiction of your level of professional experience.
