"It may sound corny, but sitting here in this interview with you? The fact that we are here right now means that I have achieved all the goals required in my five-year plan to have gotten me to this point in time. I've never reached this point before, so in all honesty, this is my greatest achievement to date, from a big picture point of view."

      The aim of this question is to assess how you weigh your accomplishments against your career goals, while contrasting your example against their standards and expectations. Their aim is to evaluate whether your accomplishments exceed expectations or meet the status quo. Avoid exaggerating or telling the assessment vendor what you think the recruiters will want to hear. This will come across as disingenuous and, more often than not, will be flagged by the HireVue algorithm.

      What You Need to Know

      HireVue uses proprietary machine learning algorithms that analyze data points throughout your video interview, later allowing the company's hiring authority to evaluate those points and your perfomance. These data points include your non-verbal cues, such as facial expressions, eye movements, body movements, clothing details, and vocal nuances. Make sure to speak clearly and avoid speech crutches and long pauses while keeping it natural. Show your personality. Wear professional clothing appropriate to the role. Maintain eye contact with the camera as if you're speaking face-to-face with a person (while avoiding looking at yourself on the screen). Try to present yourself as a professional in every way.
