How to Answer: Tell me something about yourself that I wouldn't know from reading your resume.
Advice and answer examples written specifically for an Aldi job interview.
30. Tell me something about yourself that I wouldn't know from reading your resume.
Why the Interviewer Asks This Question
The interviewer would like to get to know more about you. Give an overview of how you got into retail, your education and experience, your current role, and what brings you to the interview with ALDI. Engage the interviewer by telling your story with enthusiasm! Consider sharing a skill you developed that will be useful for this position. Avoid giving too many personal details (marital status, how many children you have, your religion, etc.), and try to keep your answer brief (no more than a couple of minutes).
Focus on unique non-work related skills or hobbies. For instance, you might share that you enjoy beat-boxing or making origami swans. Be prepared for the interviewer to stop you and ask you to perform your skill on the spot when it's possible! (This will make you unforgettable!)

Experienced Example
"I am an animal lover. I volunteer at the local shelter, have two dogs and a cat and I foster pets from time to time too. When I was younger, I participated in 4-H for years and really enjoyed raising different animals and taking different projects to the fair."
