How to Answer

How you respond also shows the interviewer your communication skills and how you connect and react to others. One suggested way to answer is to briefly talk about the past, present, and future of your profession.

"Well, I decided at 18 years old that I wanted to work in orthopedics after becoming injured in a motorcycle accident. After breaking my femur and pelvis, I had an incredible orthopedics team that I worked with for five months. After I recovered, I was hired by the orthopedic's office and started working as an orthopedic technician, where I worked for two years. I am now interviewing with your company because the office I was working in closed down when the physician retired."
