      How to Answer

This is your opportunity to list any relevant education, certificates, and experience that relate to the position. Have a copy of your resume or a notebook with your qualifications listed for quick reference in case you forget something. If you're early in your teaching career, then lean into education and certifications and add any experience tutoring or working with youth. If you have several years of experience, then touch on your education and certifications and lean more heavily on your classroom experience.

"I earned my Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of ________in 2009 and finished my teaching licensure later that year. I will be completing my Masters's in Math Education at the University of ________ this summer. I have spent the past 10 years teaching in a variety of settings: high school, middle school, alternative high school, and a PreK - 12 International School in Tanzania. The variety of settings I have taught in have all taught me different things and helped me grow as a teacher, from building relationships and classroom management to fostering critical thinking and mathematical confidence. The range of ages and stages I have taught, from middle school up to high school calculus, has also given me insight into where students are coming from and where they are going academically. I have found this to be vital in reaching students and teaching them in a way that is developmentally appropriate to their stage in education. I feel highly qualified for this role and enthusiastic about the potential of joining this school community."
