Question 3 of 21

How would you handle a patron objecting to a certain book in the library's collection?

"I would calmly listen to the patron's reasoning, first. I would then explain that people from all walks of life enter the library and should be able to find books that align with their beliefs and interests. The library is a place of learning, and it is important to celebrate differences of opinion and be exposed to all sorts of perspectives, whether they are in line with your beliefs or not. I would then try to direct the patron to something that would be more suitable to their tastes."
