"Sometimes I find myself complaining, blaming, and playing the role of a victim. My mom gave me a book to read called QBQ: the Question Behind the Question by John G Miller. It has been an impactful book that has allowed me to stop that unproductive thinking and ask myself questions that will not waste energy, but instead, give me a path that is more positive and productive. I want to continue to ask myself the question behind the question at South University."

Self-discovery is very important, and it sounds as though you are on a path to great clarity! You may want to soften the first sentence - depending on the personality of the interviewer; this may be TMI. I've provided an option for you below.
"At times, I find myself in a loop of unproductive or critical thinking. This most often occurs when (during times of stress, perhaps?). My mom recently gave me a book called QBQ: the Question Behind the Question by John G Miller. It has been an impactful book that has given me the tools to stop unproductive thinking. Now, when I find myself in a critical thought pattern, I choose to ask questions that will not waste energy but instead, put me on a more positive and productive path. This mindset shift is a work in progress, and I plan to continue this inner work while attending South University."
