"The first challenge I anticipate is becoming acquainted with all the staff, remembering their names, their details, and specialties, and to what degree we'll be working together. From the specific mission areas, and all the training involved, I imagine it will be an intensive first couple of weeks with a great deal of information I'll need to retain."

Beyond their new employee orientation, which you'll complete during your first few days at the NSA, and the comprehensive and cohesive onboarding process that introduces you to the NSA and specific mission areas, which includes on-the-job training and internal NSA courses, external training will also be made available based on need and experience.

The learning curve for the technologies that NSA uses which I might not be familiar with, will be my first hurdle. I will also need to fit into the team and be useful to them. I will make a list of things I need to study, and be familiar with. I have made software for a long time, so if I come across something new, chances are I have done something similar in the past.

Excellent! This is a strong answer. Consider talking more about how you will learn the new technologies and get to know your new teammates. Will you take all the training classes that are offered to you? Will you introduce yourself to your new coworkers and manager? Will you ask what their expectations are for you?

Just like any new place of employment, there will be some adjusting that I’m sure could be challenging. Working with new people and personalities it will take some adjusting to learn how individuals on the team operate. Everything is manageable with time and patience.
