Why the Interviewer Asks This Question

When hiring managers ask the age-old 'tell me your greatest weakness' question, they're ultimately looking to hear that you have done your homework on the role you are interviewing for and are cognizant of the shortcomings you would bring. The team at Kimberly-Clark knows that their work is highly specialized, and your interviewer needs to know where you may require additional training.

      1st Answer Example

"I could improve some technical skills, including Excel and PowerPoint. Currently, I am at a beginner to intermediate level, but I would be more comfortable at an advanced level. I understand this role at Kimberly-Clark will involve some use of those programs. If I'm fortunate enough to join this team, an initial goal of mine would be to learn and master the aspects of those programs I would be working in."

      2nd Answer Example

"I am not good at delegating to others. When submerged in a project, I don't like to give away control. While this can be good, it can also inhibit the outcome of the project and my growth as a team player and individual. I am working on this, as I know it is a deficit, and will continue to do so here at Kimberly-Clark."
