The interviewer knows that there may be slower times when you will need to motivate yourself to stay focused. Be positive in your assurances. Help the hiring manager know that you can see a project through, and do not need someone to micromanage you as you work.

"I believe that I work well independently. I always keep a running list of items that I might get to should I find myself with extra time. If a project is proving difficult, I find that having a conversation with someone helpful in motivating me. And more generally, I motivate myself with music, books, and seminars I watch online, in order to put me in the right frame of mind."
