"In my most recent position we had a lot of turnover with management. It was difficult to learn the new preferences of my supervisors on such a frequent occasion but I was able to handle it well knowing that we all had the same end goal which was to ensure that the animals were properly cared for."

With the recent outbreak in Northern Ireland, the biosecurity measures have been greatly increased when working with our Humboldt penguins. We had to rearrange our daily schedule so staff working with otters, penguins, or seals had no contact with the penguins since they are carriers of the disease. This changed the layout of our routine dramatically.

This is a great example. Consider making it more powerful by explaining the situation more fully. What kind of outbreak are you referring to? How have biosecurity measures changed? How did moving staff around impact your daily work routines, and most importantly, how did you rise to the occasion to support your team and the animal life under your care? When responding to a situational question like this, you can often organize your response using the STAR framework, an acronym for Situation, Task, Action, Result. This framework will allow you to keep your reply well-organized so the interviewer can follow along with your story.
Prepare for questions about animal welfare, emergency response, and husbandry skills.
