"I am sure to consistently stick to my given schedule unless there is an emergency. In my current position I begin with exhibit maintenance and then diet prep which includes weighing out the food and adding the necessary vitamins. Animal observation, and safety, is always priority."

Daily checks are a top priority in the morning: going around the aquarium and ensuring all enclosures are in top condition and all animals are healthy. Feeding would then be my next priority, including weighing out food and providing each animal eats a healthy amount.

Amanda's Feedback
Good start! Animal safety and welfare should always be a key priority as a zookeeper. You can make this answer stronger by expelling what you review during daily checks and how that ensures that enclosures and animals are in top condition. Consider sharing an example of a time when these checks help you prevent a serious animal injury or illness. Then, explain why feeding is your next priority.
Prepare for questions about animal welfare, emergency response, and husbandry skills.
