Question 3 of 30

Provide an example of a time your ethics were tested.

"In my previous position, I worked with a client who hired us to conduct a report on the impacts of damming a nearby river. I had completed my college thesis on this topic and was aware that damming and diverting water threatens biodiversity, increases evaporation water loss, lowers downstream water levels, and reduces valuable sediment deposits. I had to be honest in my report, and the information was not what the client wanted to hear, but the company had to support the scientific findings. Eventually, our client went elsewhere."

      How to Answer

You might want to say you haven't had any ethical challenges, but we all have our ethics tested at some point. For example, you may have discovered wrongdoing, or perhaps someone asked you to engage in a cover-up. Maybe your former employer failed to deliver the full value and quality on products or services paid for by a client, or you witnessed a colleague cut corners on a project.
