How to Answer: If you could change anything about your current job, what would it be?
Advice and answer examples written specifically for a CAD Drafter job interview.
18. If you could change anything about your current job, what would it be?
How to Answer
This is an opportunity to share insights with the hiring manager on what you feel would be a valuable change in your current organization. When you answer this question, make sure to point out traits that make you a strong candidate for the job. Focusing more on the why than the what will give the interviewer a more complete picture of your values, and show you have goals and a desire to achieve success. Briefly discuss what you would change about your job; go into detail about why; keep your answer informative, yet concise; and be careful not to complain or speak poorly of your current company.

Why the Interviewer Asks This Question
One of the main goals of an interview is for the interviewer to get to know you. When they ask if there is anything about your job you would want to change, they are trying to get a picture of the values you find important, what you excel at, and if you can self-assess.

Answer Example
"My current company has been very good to me and there is very little that I would change. If given the chance, the one thing that I would suggest to them is that they upgrade their operating systems to allow CAD drafters access to their work from remote locations. Currently, there are no programs accessible on a shared drive."
