The medical industry is ever-changing, and there is a wealth of clinical and research information for physicians in the form of websites, publications, and journals. The interviewers at Georgetown want to see that you have a keen interest in continually learning your craft as a future physician by hearing you talk about the medical publications you are and will be interested in as a student with their medical school.

"During my undergraduate program, I chose to dive into the JAMA publication because of its overarching view on the medical field from the AMA. High-level research, reviews, and editorials piqued my interest in several subspecialties. As I progress through medical school, other publications I will get into include heavy research-based journals like the New England Journal of Medicine."

Talk about how you will stay up to date on trends, breakthroughs, social concerns, and more in the medical field during your training in medical school. List a couple of medical journals you have started to read and discuss how often you dive into medical-related news. Perhaps you subscribe to a particular magazine or blog or follow certain social media accounts.
It's also a great idea to ask the interviewers about their favorite ways to stay in touch on medical-related current events. Asking this question in return can make for great dialogue, and you never know what you will learn!
