Yes, every audit engagement requires cross-functional collaboration with teams outside audit such as actuaries, tax specialists, and IT specialists. Based on my experience, for a large project to work seamlessly among all teams, it is important to communicate up front and agree on the details and expected results. In the meantime, it is just as crucial to keep an open line of communication and check in with other teams to make sure things are progressing and on track.
