Everyone has his/her weaknesses, and that is OK. Talk to the hiring manager about what you feel you could work on the most, and what you are doing about it. Avoid discussing a weakness that could be detrimental to you securing the position.
"As a manager, I feel that my greatest weakness is in separating employees as quickly as possible when they begin to show signs that they are not going to work out. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and have been known to continue trying to nurture people when they really are overdue for termination. I have taken a couple of management training classes focusing on this area, and I'm also working with an industry mentor; I feel I'm improving in being able to objectively approach separating employees who aren't a good fit."

As a manager, I have found my greatest weakness is at times I haven't relayed information as quickly as possible. I have worked on that to have team meetings. Before a shift begins I try to talk with supervision about what has changed since I came back and what problems have arisen. I then relay that information to my team as quickly as possible now to make sure that no holes are left in the information loop. I want everyone on the same page with what is going on and strive to give all my information to others as it is given to me. I take criticism very well and welcome it.
Marcie's Feedback
Why in the past didn't you relay information more quickly? Did you not realize how important it was to relay it in a timely manner? Were there obstacles that you had to overcome that initially prevented you from relaying the information? Be sure to explain this so the interviewer doesn't conclude that you have a tendency to be lazy. Otherwise, it's great that you've thoroughly explained the steps you've taken to overcome this weakness. Nice!
