Signing a non-disclosure agreement is quite common in the software and technology industry. LinkedIn holds a lot of private information on their members, making a lot of the information you may be privy to, highly sensitive.
If hired, you will likely become privy to trade secrets, pending patents, and other innovative projects that must remain confidential. Talk to the interviewer about your willingness to sign an agreement. If you are currently under non-disclosure or non-compete agreement with your present employer, now is the time to discuss that.
