Marcie's Feedback
Giving a range as you did here is always a great idea. You might even expand your range a bit more so you don't pigeonhole yourself into less than what they were thinking of paying you. You could also flip the question around and ask the interviewer what range they were looking to pay and then respond affirmatively if that works for you. Avoiding giving numbers can be a good idea in terms of negotiating a higher salary. Don't forget to also remind the interviewer here of some strengths and skills that you have to offer and why you're the best candidate for the job.
