"My greatest strengths include my attention to detail and ability to focus. I am observant and a natural listener. This allows me to slow down enough to listen to my patients and colleagues. I pick up on small details and devote my attention to whatever I am doing in the present. Even when I have other things going on, I can hone in on the task at hand and devote my full attention to each patient so they receive the care they deserve. I feel that these strengths will enable me to be a confident and successful resident with your program."

It sounds like you have several strengths you feel benefit your work. Your confidence shines through, but you haven;t yet successfully convinced your interviewer of the positive impact your strengths benefit your residency. Elaborate on your answer by using some leadership terms.
I think fast on my feet and am resourceful. I make sure I am fully versed in how to take full advantage of all the tools at my disposal. This way, I can make critical decisions fast. If I don’t have everything I need at my fingertips, I am an outside-of-the-box thinker, and truly believe in the adage, where there is a will, there is a way. Sometime this requires collaboration, a team effort. Your team is the most valuable tool in your kit. So I place a lot of emphasis on relationship building with my teams. Beyond that, I work hard and fast, maintaining a positive outlook at all times. So I often set the pace. But the most important tool one has at their disposal is solid, above average communication skills. I consider myself an excellent communicator. In addition, I am very persistent, determined, and detail-oriented. I take advantage of every learning opportunity to expand my knowledge and skill set. So, in short, the skills I’d bring with me are my great attitude, my excellent verbal and written communication skills, my ability to think outside the box and being a resourceful person. I have above average interpersonal skills, especially when it comes to team building and enhancing work relations, and taking every opportunity to stay up to date with the developments in my field. As I see it, these are all translatable skills. There may be others who share in these traits, but these of some of what sets me apart from the hoard.
