      Anonymous Answer

"In college, I did an internship at a prosecutor's office that introduced me to the ideas of probation and pre-trial programs. I came to find that these two programs are similar to parole in many ways. Parole occurs after a person has already served part of their sentence, while the other programs occur before a person has served their sentence. The duties of a parole officer and a probation officer are similar in many ways. Both programs require that a person follow a certain set of rules as a condition of their release."
