These qualities are essential, indeed! To practice active listening in an interview, I encourage you to always stick to the question at hand. If you had to choose one single most important quality, what would it be? Lastly, be sure to discuss then if you possess that quality, and how you emulate it now and plan to display it in your professional career.

I believe that one of the most important qualities an optometrist should have is a continuous drive to be a better optometrist. This drive will allow for the optometrist to continuously improve themselves and their practice. As someone who wants to get into this field, this continuous drive should be there from the moment you realize that you want to become an optometrist, and it should only grow more and more during your career.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! Without a doubt, being driven is a great quality for an optometrist to possess. You've done a great job of explaining why. Do you consider yourself driven? If so, be sure to let the interviewer know so they are reminded that you possess this quality and will make a great optometrist yourself. Good job!

The most important quality is actively listening to the patients and acknowledging their concerns. This is important to build trusting and long-lasting relationships with patients.
Marcie's Feedback
It's definitely important that an optometrist be an active listener. Good job! But what does it mean to actively listen to a patient? Can you give more details about that? And how does listening help to build trust and meaningful relationships? Why is it important that a patient feel heard by their optometrist?
