1. Working as a supplemental instructor I noticed that a non-traditional Native American student, was discouraged after failing an exam. I had worked with her in study sessions and knew she was getting the material. I went to the professor and we figured out a plan to help her out and to keep her from dropping out of college.

2. I worked in retail for a bit, especially at Aerosoles which they always stressed customer service. The goal was to sell at least 2 shoes per transaction. We had to greet the customer, tell them the promotion, ask them what they were looking for, suggest 4 pairs similar to what they were looking for, explain the product material wise and benefit wise, then have them try on. This thoroughness shows that the they took the time and effort to connect with the customer, therefore giving the company a good reputation.

3. An experience I had regarding my attention to detail was trying to sell shoes to a customer at Aerosoles. The company believes in actively engaging with the customer to adhere to their needs. So, I had to greet them, tell the promotion, then ask what they were looking for, then suggesting up to four pairs of shoes for them pertaining to that style, explain the technology and benefits to the shoe clearly and then successfully sell them leaving the customer satisfied.

4. My favorite place to be at my old job was at self check out. Since I do have the tendency to sweat the small things I was concerned when I noticed a sudden influx of Rhode Island IDs for very young looking customers buying alcohol. I looked it up one night when I got home and realized that Rhode Island IDs are one of the most commonly faked IDs so I brought it to my manager's attention to let the other cashiers know to be extra careful when checking said IDs.
