I went into medicine to help patients and families navigate difficult illnesses over time. I have always been drawn to the complexity and acuity of cardiology because I feel my strengths as a clear communicator, an effective teacher, and my ability to make an emotional connection with patients/families are particularly impactful. I also want to be in a field that is growing and changing so I can always continue learning.
