I truly believe that in the medical field, even the shortest interactions can have monumental impacts on people. I have been fortunate to have seen many incredible medical interventions which the impact of is immediately observable. At the same time, I've also witnessed providers doing something as simple as sitting and talking with a patient and it has had just as meaningful of an impact. So, as a prospective medical student, the diverse avenues from which a physician can impact patients are appealing."
