Your communication skills can be rated by your writing skills, verbal communication skills, body language, nonverbal cues, and even what you neglect to say. If you're in a supervisory position, and your mood and body language are inconsistent with your words, your staff may misinterpret those cues and take them personally. When discussing your communication skills, touch on your mediation, negotiation, diplomacy, and ability to communicate nondefensively. Share your ability to adapt your communication style to others, your active listening skills, and your ability to mirror, validate, and empathize.

My communication skills would be an 8, in my opinion. Usually, I'm very clear about expressing my expectations and explaining things. When I respond quickly, I might not express things as clearly as I wanted it to be. There's always room for growth when it comes to communication skills.
