This question aims to reveal your emotional intelligence. The very phrasing of this question can trip people up. Keep a level head throughout the interview, especially when the question is emotionally confusing. Receiving feedback can be challenging in its own right, especially in how the feedback is delivered. A person might give feedback from an emotional state. Other times, the feedback may not be communicated functionally.
How you interpret the feedback and what you learn from it is at the heart of this question. Do you objectify the situation while governing your emotional response and evaluate what can be gained from the learning experience, or do you take it as a personal affront and grow defensive? A career-minded professional adapts and learns how to apply that information to grow and continue to evolve. You can't always predict what they say or how you feel, but you can learn how to master your feelings and choose how to respond.
