How to Answer: What are three words you would use to describe yourself?
Advice and answer examples written specifically for a State Farm job interview.
2. What are three words you would use to describe yourself?
The Goal
Although this question offers an opportunity to advertise your merits, its subtlety lies in the specific three words you feel say the most about who you are. They are also trying to determine whether your advertised qualities will appeal to the hiring authority or fit in with their work culture. So you want to use words that resonate with the hiring authority who later will view your recorded interview. Write a variety of industry related terms in advance that reflect your professionalism. Focus on industry keywords with positive connotations to describe yourself. If you can align those keywords with the keywords State Farm on their website, even better.

Why the Interviewer Asks This Question
Once a question is posed, you'll be allowed 20-30 seconds per question to plan your response. You're allowed up to three minutes to record each answer. There are no retakes. You get only one opportunity to record your answers. Some questions may take longer to answer than others, but only take as much time as you need. Don't run out the clock or allow it to cut you off. Be as succinct as possible.
