"If I had a client ask me about something that I didn't know enough about, I would find the answer for them before giving a potentially false answer. I am okay with admitting when I don't know something, and I love to learn new things. Of course, I would find the answer quickly by asking the appropriate person or finding it within the company's internal resources."

"I plan to know everything possible about your products so I sure hope this would not happen to me very often! Should it happen, I would utilize all of the resources available to me or ask a manager for assistance."

Gucci sells thousands of products, so as a new employee, you will likely run into a situation where you're unsure as to how to answer a customer's question regarding one of them. Demonstrate to the interviewer that you can acknowledge when you don't know something instead of making it up on the fly and commit to finding that answer and following up with the customer timely. Give an example of how you track down information or find the appropriate person to ask. Telling a customer, "I don't know," or "that's not my department," is never appropriate, and the interviewer wants to learn more about your customer service skills and problem-solving approach.

If I had a client who asked me something and I didn't know I would honestly share this with the customer and would try ways to find the answer. I would partner up with a colleague. Or together with the customer, I would try to find it online. Once I found the answer, I would also share with my co-workers in case they didn't know yet.

Your response is thorough, and the added touch of sharing your new knowledge with colleagues is gold! Well done!

If I had a client who asked me about a product that I didn't know, I would work with the customer in trying to find the answer, and if I were still unsure, I would ask one of my colleagues for help. If my colleague couldn't help, but I found the answer online, I would make sure to notify my co-workers for any future customer interactions.

It's fantastic that you would take the time to search for answers rather than saying, 'I don't know!' Music to a hiring authorities' ears :)
