The first step in testing is making sure that the network has implemented industry best practices. There's no point in re-inventing the wheel. However, certain situations call for innovation and or creativity. Working with load balancers in the past like F5, A10 from Cisco, and ELB from AWS, I have developed a solid understanding of what the foundation of a system should look like.
