I follow a few resources online for up-to-date information on the medical industry. My favorites right now are NEJM and Medscape. I receive weekly email newsletters from NEJMwatch.org. It compiles summaries of the latest guidelines. Further, I also use the course onlinemeded.org - intern content and AMBOSS to stay on top of my medical knowledge so that I can hit the ground running in July.

Great! It sounds like you stay up to date on new industry trends and technologies, which the interviewer will appreciate. Do you also network with other medical professionals or attend conferences? How about taking online courses or reading newspapers? In addition, can you talk briefly about a trend that you learned about that interested you? Good job!

Being an excellent physician requires being a lifelong learner, the medicine that we know today is different from 50 years ago. I plan on staying up to date by attending lectures, and grand rounds, and reading some of the major medical journals on a regular basis. One resource I personally like is UptoDate because it helps me be aware of changing guidelines with regard to medical management.
