Question 1 of 30

How do you deal with the relatively mundane or routine tasks required of an engineer, like reports and paperwork?

"I find it helpful to create a checklist of what I need to accomplish in a day. I try to finish the most routine tasks before moving on to the more interesting ones. It's better for me to start working on paperwork early in my day when I'm fresh, rather than dealing with it when I'm too tired or fatigued. If I'm feeling stuck sitting in front of the computer for most of the day, I try to remember to take short breaks to keep my mind alert; I'll take a short walk outside since exercise and fresh air helps me stay focused."
