"I appreciate many things about the people who make up the teams I work with, but I find three attributes particularly valuable. First, I appreciate working with empathetic team members. Having the ability to connect with other members of the team, stakeholders, and the employees we support is beneficial. It builds value into everything we do as a team and bridges individuals together.

Secondly, I appreciate team members who are accountable and take pride in their work. People who prioritize doing their job well and getting things right as much as possible set the bar high for others. They lead by example and inspire the team. They inspire me.

Finally, I appreciate team members with gifts that complement mine. I believe in identifying what people are great at and finding ways to leverage those strengths to the fullest. The most high-performance teams I have worked with have a mix of gifts that balance each other. I learn a lot, and the programs we deliver are of higher quality."
