With rising gas prices, environmental issues and climate change, and increasing populations, they want to see that you are addressing the challenges of transportation in your past design and planning projects.

"As far as incorporating public transportation into my designs, I have had the opportunity to work on mass-transit and urban redevelopment projects with a strong emphasis on public transportation solutions, I think the public is very aware of sustainability in public transport, and while any transit option is better for the environment than a private car, individuals will have a hard time giving up their automobiles completely. I think all future urban design and planning projects will need to consider alternate forms of transportation to be sustainable in the future."
