Question 26 of 30

Tell us about a time you made a mistake in your career and what steps you took to correct the mistake.

"In my previous role, I worked on a project for a client and sent an email confirmation that the testing had started and what the expected timeframe would be for the completion of the testing. After hitting send, I realized that I had sent the email to the wrong client. While there was not any confidential information in the email about the actual test results, the type of testing that I was running was in the email. I quickly recalled the email, contacted the client that I had mistakingly sent the email to, and let him know that the email was sent in error and to please disregard and delete the message. I then contacted the client that the email was meant to go to and informed him that I had made the mistake. Luckily, the clients were both very understanding, and they were happy with the steps that I had taken to correct the mistake. I now double- and even triple-check email addresses before I send any client information."
