Rather than going to my manager with the complaint, I offered to take on some of her workload so that she would have the time to complete the schedule. We worked together for a couple of overtime hours that day and were able to catch her up on everything. It felt good to help but also benefited me by way of organization."

There are a few times I can recall going above and beyond. My store was about 10 minutes from closing. My last customer of the day desperately needed a phone activated. A phone activation and transfer can average to about an hour to two hours. I stayed overtime; I made sure she knew how to use her new phone and answered all her questions.
