The interviewer would like to know if you have had the pleasure of experiencing the products/services of Portland General Electric first hand. You should always have some personal experience with the company before going to your first interview. If you are not a customer of Portland General Electric then perhaps you could call their office to inquire about their utility services. This way, you can comment on the customer service that you received. Big or small, be prepared to say YES - you have experienced Portland General Electric first hand.

"I have been a customer of Portland General Electric for three years now. My experience has been a positive one. I specifically recall last year when my invoice was incorrect. I called the customer service line, and the representative was helpful and friendly. I have recommended Portland General Electric to my friends and family in the past."

"I have not been a direct customer of Portland General Electric; however, I did call into your customer service department a couple of weeks ago to discuss the possibility of changing my services over to you. Unfortunately, I am on a contract with one of your competitors until the end of November. My experience with Portland General Electric was great so I will be switching over to you as soon as I am able."

Yes, while being in Portland's surrounding areas I have always had PGE. My overall experience with PGE has always been great. Just earlier this year we were without power for quite a few days because of the ice storm we had. While it obviously was an inconvenience to be without power, PGE did a great job communicating with their customers and I believe they did everything they could as fast as possible.
