"I imagine there would be four main types of work involved in owning the strategy for a program of work at Amazon. The first would be strategic analysis. This would involve doing the analysis to understand the current state of the program, the current operational models, and identifying what is working well and what needs improvement.
The second group of activities would involve working with the stakeholders of the program to identify strategic goals. This process would be informed by the strategic analysis as well any visionary ideas from the collective leadership.
The third set of activities would involve driving out specific goal statements and identifying timelines and key metrics for each. Finally, ownership of the program strategy would include developing a plan to implement the strategy and communication and socialization of the associated roadmap."
