"I recently participated in a leadership conference where our communication styles were assessed using the DISC model. I felt the results were really accurate for me. I scored fairly evenly between the influencer and conscientious communication styles. I am outgoing, optimistic, and persuasive, but I use a systematic and process-oriented approach to back up my assertions. I believe that is a natural fit for an IT program manager that needs to foster cohesion and alignment through influence while simultaneously providing the data needed to make intelligent decisions in a group setting.
I also understand that written communication is a critical piece of the IT Services program manager role. I enjoy writing, and I am comfortable customizing my communication to match the needs of various international audiences. I use clear, concise, and easily understood language alongside graphics or data summary charts as needed."
