"I enjoy facilitating meetings and I have taken a number of classes over the years to improve my skills in this area. I deploy a mix of tools and strategies to ensure my meetings run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

First, I make sure to craft agendas for important meetings and circulate them in advance. Next, I begin each meeting with a quick agenda review to make sure all of the participants are on the same page. If needed, I go over ground rules and the other basic facilitation tools I use frequently such as parking lots, action item lists, and decision lists.

If the meeting is remote, I use screen sharing and whiteboard technologies to help facilitate meetings. I am comfortable documenting information online so that everyone can make sure they were heard properly during the meeting.

Finally, I use a mix of brainstorming, strategic planning, prioritization, and conflict resolution methods to help my meetings stay on track. I have a wide variety of approaches available, and I select methods that are a best fit for the content, the location, and the participants of the meeting."
