Interviewers ask this question to learn more about the breadth and scale of a candidate's experience. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience providing solutions to stakeholder groups such as accounting, finance, supply chain, legal, marketing, etcetera.

Remember to describe the customer enterprise-level departments the solutions teams you have worked on benefited if you work for a 3rd party vendor that delivers SaaS or similar enterprise solutions. Interviewers will likely accept this level of experience in lieu of partnering directly with internal stakeholders.
