Have you received any in-flight emergency training?
Your interviewer is curious whether you could capably handle yourself if an in-flight emergency occurred. Air New Zealand expects their employees to exhibit strong problem-solving skills and wear a warm smile while keeping a cool head at all times. "If there's an emergency, passengers will rely on you to provide advice and instructions. You'll be called on to help people who may require assistance, such as the elderly, people with disabilities, children, infants and passengers who become unwell during the flight." Assure the interviewer that you are confident in your ability to handle an emergency professionally. If you are new to the industry and do not have the related training, be transparent about it, and comment on any other training you've completed which may prove relevant or helpful.
"In my role with Company ABC, I received over 100 hours of in-flight situational training. I am confident in my ability to react professionally and appropriately in an emergency."
"As I am new to a career in the airline industry, I have not received in-flight emergency training; however, I have taken emergency response training in my current position at the hospital. I am confident in my ability to react professionally and appropriately in an emergency, and I look forward to taking the in-flight training with Air New Zealand."

Good! I like that you brought in some relevant training rather than just focusing on the training you do not have.
