"When I started in my current role, I noticed we were spending a lot of time playing phone tag with our clients. I started to use a calendar app that syncs with my Outlook calendar to eliminate all of the back and forth. After implementing this, I think I have saved four hours a week. I showed it to my teammates, and now the whole company is using it!"

At my current job, we process referrals and authorizations from faxes that are received. Some of our beneficiaries do not require a referral or authorization and in that case, we are to fax the referral request back to the provider. We were spending a lot of time looking up these provider fax numbers. I suggested we rework our referral form and ask the provider for the fax number. This was received as a good idea and new forms were created which has saved a lot of time.

Amanda's Feedback
Innovation doesn't always have to be complicated. Sometimes the most effective changes are actually very simple. I really like that you've shared the initial problem, your idea for addressing the issue, and the positive outcome. This illustrates your ability to not only make a recommendation but follow through to act on it.
