"I like to spend some time asking students questions to identify areas of weakness and how they learn best. This helps me tailor my instruction to meet their needs. One of my favorite techniques when providing 1:1 tutoring is to have students teach me back what they learned that day. This puts the student in control and allows me to verify if they met the objectives of what I taught them. I also like to incorporate real-world scenarios into what I am instructing as this can help students retain otherwise difficult knowledge."

One of the methods I used most in the classroom was having students present the information back to the class and me. They would have to teach the class. This was a great way to see which students had a deep understanding and which students needed more support.
