"I have developed a few methods for handling work stress, the principles of which are deeply rooted in my personal and professional experience. The first principle for me is the eight-hour workday. As much as possible, I delay any tasks or activities that pop up outside of normal work hours until I start the workday. I think it's important to draw this line for others to respect my time. I also dedicate no more than two hours at a time to deep project work. Deep work is any activities that need to be performed in a state of distraction-free concentration that push your cognitive capabilities to their limits. The other key to maintaining a stress-free work environment is being on task and organized. I utilize many tools to help keep me on track and organized, and these tools include a detailed work calendar and project list with deadlines and milestones clearly outlined."

I have learned that it is important to set boundaries especially these past few years in education. The pandemic and online learning led to burnout because I was over-committing. I learned to be as productive as possible during the workday and staying organized made for a less stressful workplace. I also take breaks when I feel that I am running low on energy.

These are great strategies to help balance work and personal life. If you engage in any personal hobbies that help you refocus and recharge, feel free to share those with the interviewer as well.
